Last month the club celebrated the achievements of all the swimmers who took part in the Junior Club Champs and the Long Distance Champs on the 9th July, which took place at the club’s home pool at the Arena in Bognor Regis.

The event was organised by head coach, Sue Eason, with help on poolside by coaches Mo Van Zijil and Kim Hickmore, so many thanks to them. Also, thanks to all of our volunteers, including Martin Stone and all the parents who assisted.

There were over 50 PB’s on the day, and congratulations to all the swimmers who took part, including; Theo Bennett, Toby Bennett, Orla Darby, Imogen Ede, Rosie Freeman, Logan Hick-more, Kaitlin Hickmore, Chai Hicks, Amber Macrae, Henry Macrae, Cameron Merrick, Connor Merrick, Leo Mitchell, Meloday Moles, Harvey Newman, Violet Newman, Evie Raza, Jude Raza, Andrey Rodrigues, William Stevens, Grace Trodd and Andrew Uren.

Medals were presented at the club Barbeque at the Rugby Club by Mayor Cllr Pat Dillon and Deputy Mayor Cllr Phil Woodhall. Also, Kaitlin and Logan Hickmore and Orla Darby received awards for having raised the most money at the recent ‘Swim for the Queen’ event.

We are enormously proud of all our swimmers and this season, and equally to all the coaches and parents who continue to work hard to ensure the clubs continued success.

With the end of the season approaching and swimmers moving up the squads and/or moving on to new things, positions are opening up in all of the squads. If you are interested in your child taking part in swimming training run by a team of qualified and experienced coaches, then please get in touch with head coach, Sue Eason.
