Hello from your new Head Coach…

First, I’d like to introduce myself.

As some of you know, I have been at Littlehampton Swimming Club since 1999, the last six years as their Head Coach. I stood down recently so I could go back to nursing, however I very soon realised that this was no longer for me, having been out for over 15 years, and found I really missed coaching swimming. I have been looking for another coaching role and was delighted when I heard that Bognor was looking for a coach, so here I am!

I am an ASA Level 3 Coach and a Level 2 teacher. I have been involved in both county and regional training and have taken several swimmers to national level. This year I had two swimmers at the British Championships and five at the ASA Nationals. One made two finals at the British Championships, four made finals at the ASA Nationals and one achieved a Gold Medal in the 200m breaststroke. Two of these swimmers are on the Regional Beacon Programme at Portsmouth and one young S6 swimmer is on the British Para-Swimming Talent Programme.

New Head Coach Appointment

Dear Members

As you are all aware Chris Adams will be stepping down from tomorrow as Head Coach at BRSC, and we wish him well and thank him for his long service.

I am delighted to inform you that I have secured a new Head Coach for BRSC, and it is a name you will probably know.

Sue Cameron will be taking the Role of Head Coach from November 9th. Sue has been Head Coach at Littlehampton for many years and having taken a short break is now ready for a new challenge.

Sue will be working through the squads and has some exciting plans for our swimmers.

I know you will support her and move forward with her.
It’s a very exciting time!

Sarah Boot-Cook

Head Coach Chris Adams

It is with some sadness that I need to inform you all that Chris Adams will be stepping down as Head Coach of BRSC at the end of this month.

He will be enjoying a well earned retirement and plans to take some extended holidays with his lady wife. I know that you will join me in wishing him well and thanking him for his many years of service to our Club.

Chris won’t disappear completely though, and will still be seen on poolside on occasion.

The committee is actively seeking a replacement for Chris and we will keep you posted.
We would appreciate your ongoing support during this period of transition and if you have any concerns please do not hesitate to contact me.
